Certified training programs in all areas of revenue losses

  • Provide equipment and personnel to reduce revenue losses
  • Evaluate existing revenue  recovery programs
  • Develop and implement turn key revenue recovery programs
  • Test and evaluate primary and secondary metering equipment

Basic Revenue Recovery Program– This course is structured to provide a basis to conduct effective theft of service investigations and to identify and recover lost revenue resulting from fraud, malfunctioning equipment and theft of service.
Advanced Revenue Recovery Training Seminar – This seminar is designed to enhance the skills of investigators enabling them to effectively conduct investigations into major and complex cases of revenue loss.  Included in this training are three phase meter mechanics, AMR and solid state metering, methods of tampering, revenue loss problems and losses from malfunctioning equipment.
Revenue Recovery Management Program – The problem of theft in the utility industry is not unique to any one country or region.  Utilities differ only in their perspective of the magnitude of the problem and the nature of their response.  This seminar is designed to enable Revenue Recovery managers to effectively oversee and guide all aspects of a revenue recovery program.
Interviewing Training Seminar – There are four (4) main purposes for interviewing customers suspected of being involved in illegal activities with regard to theft of utility services: (1) to better determine what took place, (2) to gain additional information, (3) to validate the facts you already have, (4) to determine the amount of loss.
Calculating Lost Revenue – An integral part of any revenue recovery investigation is determining the extent of the revenue loss to the victimized utility.  Policies and procedures should include the calculation of losses as part of the investigation regardless of how the collection of these losses is pursued.  The success of a revenue recovery investigative unit is determined by their ability to be cost effective and return as much revenue loss as possible to their company’s revenue base.
Evidence Control Program – The collection and processing of evidence in a uniform and professional manner assures that criminal prosecution and civil litigation will be thoroughly supported through competent and admissible evidence.  Because of the importance placed on the proper handling of evidence, it is imperative that a written procedure be developed and implemented that will ensure a consistent approach to any and all evidence collecting.
Cost Justifying a Revenue Recovery Program – Because of the economy, many departments are being mandated to prove their cost effectiveness.  This is especially true for Revenue Recovery Departments.  There are several areas that can be explored that will directly affect your cost benefit ratio and allow you to remain, or become, a profit center: (1) accurately calculating revenue losses, (2) billing associated costs, (3) non-theft related revenue losses.
Meter Mechanics – An electric meter is a measuring device that records the amount of electricity consumed. The most common types of meters in use today are the electro/mechanical and the solid state electronic meters, which includes AMR and AMI technology.
Effective Witness Testimony – Whether your utility elects to prosecute the crime of meter tampering/current diversion or not, your detailed documentation will play an important role in any action taken.  This program makes the assumption that you are in a courtroom situation and the information should be used as a guideline for what to expect.
